[0.90.0] - Release candidate 1 #

  • After a change in the whole structure, and trying GetServer for 1 month in a real application, we are launching release candidate 1. This version is one of the candidates for the Stable version. 100% compatibility with the Flutter has been finalized. Everything you have on Flutter can now be found here. initState? dispose? StatefulWidgets? setState? Obx? var.obs? hierarchy? All of this was added in this update. A new widget was added to make it easier to obtain upload resources (MultiPartWidget), a widget api was created from scratch that is fully compatible with the Flutter api. Headers, PageRedirect, StatusCode, all of which can be added via widgets. If you want to hide a result, or prevent it from being loaded for the user until you do another task, you can use the Visibility widget. Everything is widgets just like Flutter's. In addition, we have made the multithreaded server external and optional, as this totally prevents any risk of request failure due to loss of isolate references. If you share a variable between isolates, it will be lost in many requests, and the only way to prevent this is to have the server copy in each isolate. That way if you have a server with 1 or 2 colors, use the server as singlethread, isolates in this case will consume more RAM and will not be beneficial. If you have more than 2 colors, use Isolates, as you will get more out of multithread. In this version, you probably won't find bugs (or you will find very few), 100% of known bugs have been fixed.

[0.11.0] #

  • GREAT PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT!
  • In this update we were able to force the dart to use all the processor cores to work. GetServer's performance was already good up to 30k requests per second, but as the number of requests went up, using only one core the performance would drop. GetServer now uses all the processor cores, and forces the dart to use them through isolates, making GetServer's performance incredible, for both small and millions of requests.

[0.10.6] #

  • Change "toString()" to "jsonEncode()" on socket.emit to avoid decode errors

[0.10.5] #

  • Fix Socket.emit

[0.10.4] #

  • Improve websockets

[0.10.3] #

  • Fix sendToRoom
  • Clean Structure
  • Improve performance from Sockets requests

[0.10.2] #

  • Fix Socket.broadcast and Socket.broadcastToRoom

[0.10.1] #

  • Expose socket class

[0.10.0] #

  • Added getSocketById
  • Added Socket.broadcast
  • Added Socket.id
  • Added Sockets.lenght

[0.9.1] #

  • Prevent errors on Socket.leave(room)

[0.9.0] #

  • Added on to sockets
  • Improve socket performance to requests
  • Remove "listen" sintaxe from sockets.
  • Alert to BREAKING CHANGES: Before: socket.onMessage.listen() Now: socket.onMessage()

Before: socket.onClose.listen() Now: socket.onClose()

Before: socket.onOpen.listen() Now: socket.onOpen()

[0.8.3] #

  • Improve open files from directory

[0.8.1] #

  • Allow file list others files from directory

[0.8.0] #

  • Added static files

[0.7.2] #

  • Improve onClose from websockets

[0.7.1] #

  • Added linter

[0.7.0] #

  • Added jwt auth

[0.6.5] #

  • Improve Widget three

[0.6.4] #

  • Fix pageable

[0.6.3] #

  • Fix examples

[0.6.2] #

  • Unification of GetPages from GetServer with GetX. Now GetPage receives a function that returns a widget, both in get_server and Getx.

[0.6.1] #

  • Fix typo on build method. Possible breakchanges: For a typo, build(BuildContext context) was used as build(Context context). This bug was fixed in this version, so you should probably change the "Context" type to "BuildContext" if your build was typed.

[0.6.0] #

  • Added fully compatibility with GetX
  • Added Bindings and Controllers

[0.5.0] #

  • Added PageNotFound on GetServer

[0.4.0] #

  • Added Widgets "Text", "Json" and "Html"
  • Breaking changes: now you need return a widget. The syntax that used to be similar to that of Flutter, is now identical to that of Flutter:

To show clear text:

void main() {
  runApp(GetServer(
    getPages: [
      GetPage(name: '/', page: Home()),
    ],
  ));
}

class Home extends GetView {
  @override
  Widget build(Context context) {
    return Text("Welcome to GetX");
  }
}

To create Websocket page:

class SocketPage extends GetView {
  @override
  build(Context context) {
    return Socket(context, builder: (socket) {
      socket.onMessage.listen((data) {
        print('data: $data');
        socket.send(data);
      });

      socket.onOpen.listen((ws) {
        print('new socket opened');
      });

      socket.onClose.listen((ws) {
        print('socket has been closed');
      });
    });
  }
}

Great performance Improvement. Now Get_Server is 2.3X faster than Node.js to http requests.

[0.3.0] #

  • Added join, leave and sendToRoom to websocket

[0.2.0] #

  • Added "pageNotFound" to context, and "close"

[0.1.0] #

  • Added optional "Functional way" of create server

[0.0.1] #
