A wrapper for the Square Connect APIs. It's intended use is in a flutter application to manage inventory, catalog, customers, labor, and more on the Square platform.

• In addition to objects, now has SquareApiClient. This allows you make requests to Square APIs. NOTE! Due to the way Square authenticates it's API, DO NOT use this package in Flutter apps! There is currently no supported way to securely store API tokens on the client device. This package is entirely for server-side Dart applicatations like those created with the Dart Functions Framework.

  • There were some serious security concerns from Square on previous package implementation around storing your API key on the device. It belongs on a server you control.
  • There is now no support for calling API functions directly from this package
  • This also means no support for creating an instance of the API.
  • It's primary purpose is a library of native Dart objects that mirror the conceptual objects used in the Square API.
  • You can create these objects by specifiying ObjectName.fromJson(response)
