• BREAKING: Adopt a root viewport transform with standard Flutter bindings and native RenderView DPR. Remove the custom binding, per-view registry, controller, scope and test-environment APIs.
• Expose ScreenSizeAdapter(config, enabled, child) and reactive ScreenSizeMetrics. Configure one adapter per host-created View, above the entire app; rebuild parent state for runtime changes.
• Preserve child state through identity-scale transitions. Keep native gesture thresholds, while layout, insets and image density follow the design viewport.
• Replace the example with a single adapted/native comparison page: fixed geometry, text, counter, input and dialog, with draft/apply settings for four scale bases, three reference designs and fixed/follow-window design orientation.
• Replace binding-specific tests with production-widget layout, hit-test, lifecycle, overlay and example tests. Retain separate failing SDK acceptance gates.
• Native iOS text geometry, forced system-menu anchors and scale-independent wheel distance remain unresolved SDK compatibility gates. This development version is not a native-input fix or a Windows multi-window certification.
• Clarify installation of the explicit prerelease, migration from the published 1.0.0 positional-config API, and the difference between reference design size and available layout metrics.
• Known package limitation: extreme finite scale bounds can overflow derived layout dimensions or image DPR; result validation remains incomplete.

• ScreenSizeAdapterConfig is the complete, per-view configuration object for design size, scale axis, desktop behavior, and scale bounds.
• Experimental per-view registry APIs for host-created secondary views: attachView, updateView, detachView, resetView, scaleForView, and configForView operate on FlutterView instances.
• ScaleAxis (width, height, shorter, longer) selects the scale calculation strategy.
• ScreenSizeAdapterScope supplies corrected MediaQuery data for explicit non-primary View subtrees. The default runApp view is wrapped automatically.
• ScreenSizeAdapter.originSizeOf(context) exposes the unscaled native logical size for responsive breakpoints.
• ScreenSizeAdapter.setDesignSize, reset, scaleOf, and computeScale provide context-based runtime controls and testable scale math.
• ScreenSizeTestEnvironment supports widget tests that cannot install the production binding at the MediaQuery-only fidelity level.
• ScreenSizeTestViewport additionally gives a wrapped test subtree tight adapted layout constraints without claiming RenderView, root hit-testing, or production pointer-converter fidelity.
• ScreenSizeWidgetsFlutterBinding.instance is the typed binding accessor for integration code.

• ScaleAxis.width no longer swaps axes implicitly in landscape; choose ScaleAxis.shorter when aspect-safe scaling is required.
• Minimum supported Flutter is now 3.29.2.
• The stable support boundary is the implicit-view runApp path. Same-engine secondary-view registration and scoping remain experimental and require host-level verification with tool/verification/desktop_multi_view.md.
• Automatic registration now targets only PlatformDispatcher.implicitView. When no implicit view exists, every host-created view requires explicit attachView registration.

Fixed

• MediaQuery now consistently follows MediaQuery.size = originSize / scale and scales device pixel ratio, padding, view padding, view insets, and system gesture insets. Without clamping only the selected axis aligns with the design size; scale bounds can make neither dimension align.
• Pointer packets use the registered view's effective device pixel ratio.
• Gesture touch slop and display-feature bounds use the same design-unit coordinate system as pointer events and layout.
• ScreenSizeAdapter.reset clears scale bounds so it always restores native 1.0 scaling.
• Runtime updates that cross scale == 1.0 preserve the wrapped application subtree instead of recreating its state.
• The copy-paste orientation example now rejects stale callbacks and equivalent design-size updates instead of sending a redundant metrics notification.
• The example's automatic design-size swap now follows viewport orientation even when its controls are inside a vertical scroller.
• Invalid design sizes and scale bounds, including non-finite values and a minScale greater than maxScale, fail fast before registry updates.
• README initialization order, coordinate wording, and strictly verified Dart snippets now match the runtime contract.

Migration

• Replace ensureInitialized(size, config: ...) with ensureInitialized(ScreenSizeAdapterConfig(...)).
• Replace attachView and updateView parameter lists with config: ScreenSizeAdapterConfig(...); use current.copyWith(...) for a replacement configuration.
• Replace scaleForViewId(viewId) and configForViewId(viewId) with scaleForView(view) and configForView(view).
• Replace extension-based sizing with plain values or standard Flutter APIs: 100.dp becomes 100, 14.sp becomes 14, and 0.5.sw becomes MediaQuery.sizeOf(context).width * 0.5.
• Use ScreenSizeAdapter.scaleOf(context) for scale reads. Use ScreenSizeAdapterScope around manually mounted non-primary views.
• In testWidgets, use ScreenSizeTestEnvironment for MediaQuery-only checks or ScreenSizeTestViewport when assertions also depend on adapted layout constraints; neither installs the production binding.
