Linux desktop

The Linux plugin supports Flutter desktop on Linux x64 and ARM64. Video frames are rendered through a Flutter pixel-buffer texture. Playback and intercom audio use PulseAudio. The ARM64 native SDK targets Ubuntu 22.04 (glibc 2.35).

The build host must provide Flutter's Linux desktop prerequisites and PulseAudio headers. On Ubuntu 22.04, install at least libgtk-3-dev, libpulse-dev, cmake, ninja-build, and pkg-config. Bluetooth provisioning uses the system BlueZ service over D-Bus, so the target system must also have BlueZ installed and running.

To use a source-built x64 SDK during repository-local development, run:

./script/linux-x64/compile-runtime.sh

cd platform/flutter/rapid_kit/example
flutter run -d linux

The plugin downloads the native SDK for the target Linux architecture during the CMake build. To use a separately prepared SDK, set RAPID_LINUX_SDK_DIR to the directory containing core/, media/, and sdl/ before running Flutter.

Linux Bluetooth provisioning supports BlueZ adapters, BLE discovery, GATT connection, writable characteristic selection, and binding-profile writes. The desktop user must be allowed to access org.bluez on the system bus. LAN, cloud, and local playback do not depend on Bluetooth.
