• Android (Windows fix): Disabled Kotlin incremental compilation in the plugin's build.gradle.kts. Kotlin's incremental compiler uses File.relativeTo() to store source paths in its cache. On Windows, when the Pub Cache (C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Pub\Cache\) and the Flutter project are on different drives (e.g. G:\), relativeTo() throws IllegalArgumentException: this and base files have different roots, crashing the build. Setting incremental = false in tasks.withType<KotlinCompile> eliminates the relativeTo() call entirely. This setting is scoped to this library only and has no effect on the host app's own incremental compilation.

• Windows (critical fix): ResizeImageForCropper and CropImageNative were calling shared_result->Success/Error() directly from a background std::thread, which violates Flutter Windows SDK threading requirements and caused the app to crash/close when cropping.

  • Added a message-only HWND_MESSAGE dispatch window created at plugin init.
  • Added PostToMainThread(fn) helper that queues callbacks under pending_mutex_ and wakes the platform thread via PostMessageW(dispatch_hwnd_, WM_APP+1, 0, 0).
  • Both background methods now call PostToMainThread instead of calling the result directly.
  • Destructor destroys the dispatch window and drains pending callbacks before cleanup.

• Windows (data race fix): All accesses to temporary_files_ (push in CreateTempFilePath, push in bg threads, iterate+clear in CleanupTempFiles) are now protected by temp_files_mutex_ (std::mutex).

• Windows (phantom path fix): ResizeImageForCropper previously called CreateTempFilePath("jpg") to get a UUID string but wrote to a different path, leaving a non-existent entry in temporary_files_. Now uses CoCreateGuid directly without registering a phantom path.

• All platforms: Added cropImageNative() — full decode → rotate → crop → encode pipeline running on a native background thread/queue. Replaces the pure-Dart compute() isolate (~3,700 ms) with ~115 ms native execution on a 2 MB JPEG.

  • Supports output formats: "jpeg" (default), "png", "webp_lossy", "webp_lossless".
  • Android: BitmapFactory.inSampleSize + Bitmap.compress(WEBP_LOSSY/LOSSLESS/JPEG/PNG). WEBP_LOSSY/LOSSLESS falls back to legacy WEBP on API < 30.
  • iOS: CGImageSourceCreateThumbnailAtIndex + UIImage.jpegData / pngData. WebP falls back to JPEG (no native iOS WebP encoder).
  • macOS: CGImageSourceCreateThumbnailAtIndex + NSBitmapImageRep JPEG/PNG. WebP falls back to JPEG.
  • Windows: GDI+ GetThumbnailImage + Bitmap.Save JPEG/PNG on std::thread. WebP falls back to JPEG.
  • Linux: gdk_pixbuf_scale_simple + gdk_pixbuf_save JPEG/PNG. WebP falls back to JPEG.
  • Web: Canvas 2D rotation → crop → toDataURL with image/jpeg, image/png, or image/webp.

• iOS: Added resizeImageForCropper() — uses CGImageSourceCreateThumbnailAtIndex (ImageIO framework) for native thumbnail decode with EXIF rotation support. Completes in ~50 ms vs ~10 s in pure Dart.

• macOS: Added resizeImageForCropper() — same ImageIO path as iOS; encodes via NSBitmapImageRep JPEG compression.

• Windows: Added resizeImageForCropper() — uses GDI+ Bitmap::GetThumbnailImage on a background std::thread. Output written to %TEMP%\cropper_preview\.

• Linux: Added resizeImageForCropper() — uses gdk_pixbuf_scale_simple with GDK_INTERP_BILINEAR (native C). Output written to /tmp/cropper_preview/.

• Web: Added resizeImageForCropper() — loads the blob URL into an <img>, draws it at target size via CanvasRenderingContext2D.drawImage (browser native compositor), returns a new JPEG blob URL.

• Web stub: Added matching resizeImageForCropper() override.

• Android: Added resizeImageForCropper() method — uses BitmapFactory.inSampleSize for native resize, reducing a ~10 s pure-Dart decode on a 2 MB JPEG to ~50–150 ms.

  • Reads image dimensions first with inJustDecodeBounds (zero pixel decode).
  • Calculates the optimal inSampleSize to fit within maxSize in one pass.
  • Fine-tunes with createScaledBitmap if needed.
  • Uses RGB_565 config to halve memory usage during decode.
  • Writes result to caches/cropper_preview/ and tracks it for clearTemporaryFiles().
  • Falls back to the original path on any error so the cropper never crashes.

• Dart: Added resizeImageForCropper({required String path, int maxSize = 1024}) to ImagePickerMasterPlatform, MethodChannelImagePickerMaster, and ImagePickerMaster.

• Android: Added res/xml/file_paths.xml resource required by FileProvider — fixes AAPT: error: resource xml/file_paths not found build failure in host apps.

• Android: Downgraded AGP from 9.0.1 → 8.7.3 and Gradle wrapper from 9.1.0 → 8.11.1 to resolve Kotlin daemon incremental cache corruption (IllegalStateException: Storage already registered).

• Android: Pinned Kotlin Gradle Plugin to 2.1.21 (replaced non-existent 2.3.20).

• Web: Fixed unawaited_futures lint — added await to loadCompleter.future inside _compressJpeg so exceptions are properly caught by the surrounding try/catch.
