Foundation

The theme and the tokens every widget reads. Put a SheenScope above your screens; read the theme with context.sheen.

  • SheenThemeData.light(accent: ...) and .dark(...) build the colours, type and glass from one accent.
  • SheenColors, SheenType and SheenGlassStyles hold them; each has copyWith.
  • SheenStrings holds the few words widgets show when you give none; translate them once.
  • SheenTone gives messages their colour; SheenIcons names the built-in glyphs.
  • sheenTextDirectionOf(text) tells the direction a name reads in from its first letter, so an English title keeps its order in an Arabic app (Text(title, textDirection: sheenTextDirectionOf(title))).

Classes

SheenColors Foundation
The colours of a sheen theme, one set per brightness.
SheenIcon Foundation
An icon from sheen's set, drawn from SVG paths on a 24 × 24 grid.
SheenIcons Foundation
The names of the built-in icons, for SheenIcon.
SheenOnPhoto Foundation
Text and icons over photos: white with a soft shadow in both themes, because a photo's lower edge is always darkened behind them.
SheenRadius Foundation
Corner radii. Capsules use height / 2; a nested corner uses the outer radius minus the inset.
SheenScope Foundation
The root of a sheen app or screen.
SheenSpace Foundation
The 4 pt spacing grid.
SheenStrings Foundation
The few words sheen widgets show or announce when you give them none: button labels such as Cancel and Done, and screen-reader labels such as "Clear" or "Show password".
SheenStringsScope Foundation
Provides SheenStrings to the widgets below it. SheenScope places one; use it directly only to change the strings for part of the tree.
SheenTheme Foundation
Provides a SheenThemeData to the widgets below it.
SheenThemeData Foundation
The look of every sheen widget below a SheenTheme: brightness, colours, type and glass.
SheenTint Foundation
Tile colours behind list-row glyphs, the way iOS Settings marks each kind of row: a white glyph on a colour that names the row's kind. The same in both themes.
SheenTracking Foundation
Apple's tracking for San Francisco by point size: the iOS table of the Human Interface Guidelines (Typography › Tracking values, read 2026-10-03).
SheenType Foundation
The type scale of a sheen theme.

Functions

sheenTextDirectionOf(String? text) → TextDirection? Foundation
The direction text reads in, from its first letter: right to left for Hebrew and Arabic scripts, left to right for any other; null when it has no letter (the app's direction then applies).
