Sensor extension type

The Sensor interface of the Sensor APIs is the base class for all the other sensor interfaces. This interface cannot be used directly. Instead it provides properties, event handlers, and methods accessed by interfaces that inherit from it.

This feature may be blocked by a Permissions Policy set on your server.

When initially created, the Sensor object is idle, meaning it does not take measures. Once the Sensor.start method is called, it prepares itself to read data and, once ready, the Sensor.activate_event event is sent and the sensor becomes activated. It then sends a Sensor.reading_event event each time new data is available.

In case of an error, the Sensor.error_event event is sent, reading stops, and the Sensor object becomes idle again. The Sensor.start method needs to be called again before it can read further data.

Properties

activated bool
The activated read-only property of the Sensor interface returns a boolean value indicating whether the sensor is active.
no setter
hashCode int
The hash code for this object.

hasReading bool
The hasReading read-only property of the Sensor interface returns a boolean value indicating whether the sensor has a reading.

runtimeType Type
A representation of the runtime type of the object.

timestamp double?
The timestamp read-only property of the Sensor interface returns the timestamp of the latest sensor reading.

Methods

addEventListener(String type, EventListener? callback, [JSAny options]) → void
The addEventListener() method of the EventTarget interface sets up a function that will be called whenever the specified event is delivered to the target.
inherited
dispatchEvent(Event event) bool
The dispatchEvent() method of the EventTarget sends an Event to the object, (synchronously) invoking the affected event listeners in the appropriate order. The normal event processing rules (including the capturing and optional bubbling phase) also apply to events dispatched manually with dispatchEvent().
inherited
noSuchMethod(Invocation invocation) → dynamic
Invoked when a nonexistent method or property is accessed.
inherited
removeEventListener(String type, EventListener? callback, [JSAny options]) → void
The removeEventListener() method of the EventTarget interface removes an event listener previously registered with EventTarget.addEventListener from the target. The event listener to be removed is identified using a combination of the event type, the event listener function itself, and various optional options that may affect the matching process; see Matching event listeners for removal.
inherited
start() → void
The start() method of the Sensor interface activates one of the sensors based on Sensor.
stop() → void
The stop() method of the Sensor interface deactivates the current sensor.
toString() String
A string representation of this object.

The equality operator.
