render_client library
The pure-Dart side of the render story: a RenderPool spawns resident
guests from a directory produced by fw render bundle and invokes the
app's render points fully typed.
var renders = await RenderPool.start(bundle: '/opt/acme/render', warm: 2);
var svg = await renders.svg(monthlyChart, ChartRequest(...),
size: const RenderSize(412, 230));
Nothing behind this library imports Flutter, so a server that imports it
never loads a widget — but the package it ships in is a Flutter package,
so resolving it takes a Flutter SDK on the machine that runs pub get.
That is the same bargain package:flutterware/server.dart already makes,
and it stops at resolution: the deployed image needs nothing but the
bundle directory, which carries its own flutter_tester.
Classes
- BundleFont
- One font file the guest loads at startup — into the engine for shaping, and as capture bytes for embedding and glyph outlines.
-
DocumentRender<
A> - A render point that composes a whole PDF document itself — multi-page, flowing text, captured widget blocks dropped in as SVG.
- PdfResult
- PngResult
- RenderBundleManifest
-
What
fw render bundlewrites next to the artifacts: the one directory is self-describing, and the versions it binds together cannot drift apart without rebuilding it. - RenderOptions
- The wire form of the export policies: plain data, serializable, compiled by the guest to its per-run callback form.
-
RenderPoint<
A> - A named entry the render guest can produce, with its args type pinned.
- RenderPointInfo
- One render point as the guest's ready event announces it.
- RenderPool
- A pool of resident render guests over one bundle directory.
- RenderSize
- A logical size, kept free of any Flutter dependency.
- RenderWarning
- One honest statement about something the rendered output does not carry exactly as the engine would have drawn it.
- SvgResult
-
WidgetRender<
A> - A render point that builds a widget; the caller chooses the output — SVG, PNG, or a single-page PDF — and the options.
Enums
- RenderPointKind
- RenderWarningKind
- TextPolicy
- What to do with a text run.
- UnsupportedPolicy
- What to do with an op the writer cannot express (shadows, unresolvable shaders, layer effects, paragraphs whose text could not be recovered).
Constants
- renderProtocolVersion → const int
- Bumped when the manifest or the line protocol changes shape.
Exceptions / Errors
- RenderException
- A remote failure inside the guest, stack included.
