CatalogAxes class

The guest's side of the top bar: what the shell on screen declared, and the two extensions the host reads and writes them through.

Deliberately the mirror image of CatalogKnobs. Both learn what there is by running the thing that declares it; what separates them is scope. A knob is filed under the entry that asked for it and goes away with it, an axis is filed under its shell and does not.

Records selections and asks for a rebuild. Returns whether anything moved.
beginShell(String shellId) → PreviewAxes
Opens a shell's declaration pass and answers the object it declares through. Called by PreviewShell and nothing else.
describe() → AxisReport
What the shell on screen offers, and what each is currently set to.
flag(String name, bool defaultValue) → bool
A switch. A bool is a closed set of two, which is all an axis needs.
