AppSignal enum
A termination request delivered to the app, in platform-neutral terms.
On POSIX these map from SIGINT / SIGTERM / SIGHUP; a remote host may
synthesize them (e.g. a server shutting a session down). Kept free of dart:io
types so non-POSIX drivers can emit them too.
Values
- interrupt → const AppSignal
-
Interactive interrupt — SIGINT (
kill -INT). Note the in-terminal Ctrl+C keypress arrives as a KeyEvent in raw mode, not as a signal. - terminate → const AppSignal
-
Termination request — SIGTERM (supervisors,
kill, service managers). - hangup → const AppSignal
-
Terminal hangup — SIGHUP: the controlling terminal went away (window closed, SSH session dropped). The terminal cannot be restored, but the app's own cleanup — state saved, children stopped, logs flushed — still runs through the normal exit path.
