off → const DVPageStreaming

One buffered response, sent when the page is done. false.

The head as its own write, then the body -- both after the data has resolved, because the head carries the data's title. true.

shell → const DVPageStreaming

The shell's head at once, before the data: every preload, the splash, the bootstrap, so the browser downloads while the server queries. The title and the rest of the head the data writes follow when the data does, then the body. shell.

What it costs is the status code. 200 is on the wire before the data says whether the record exists or may be seen, so a missing, hidden or unauthorized record is answered as a page marked <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> with none of the data in it -- a soft 404 -- and a resolver that throws gets the route's own page, marked the same way. A route the router guards is never sent early: it waits for the data and answers with its real status, as head does, because a signed-out request to a guarded page must look exactly like one to a page that does not exist.
