continuationNotice function

String continuationNotice({
  1. required String body,
  2. required String continuation,
})

What an ExitCode.continuationFailed run prints: that body finished, and that continuation, failing after it, does not undo that.

Both names, and nothing about what they were. This was one fixed sentence — "the upload took place" — lifted from the Makefile of the project that asked for then:, and it was printed after every then: that failed. The first project to use then: for anything else, a build followed by an install, was told about an upload that never happened. The engine knows which task finished and which failed after it; whether the first was an upload is the project's to say.

Implementation

String continuationNotice({
  required String body,
  required String continuation,
}) =>
    '`$body` finished, and `$continuation` failing after it does not undo '
    'that';
