previewLiftedStartIndex property

int get previewLiftedStartIndex

First visible index of the rows a held make-room preview has LIFTED (the dragged row plus its visible subtree), or -1 when no preview is installed or the lifted row is not in the visible order.

Lifted rows are laid out but not painted (the reorderable widget hides them so their slot can close), so painted-position lookups must skip them exactly the way they skip pending-deletion rows. Pair with previewLiftedCount: the exclusive end of the range is start + count, computed by the caller. Start and count, never a pair or an end getter: an end getter re-resolves the start, and a record allocates on a read taken once per pointer event.

Implementation

int get previewLiftedStartIndex {
  final nid = _preview.liftedNid;
  if (nid < 0) {
    return -1;
  }
  _ensureVisibleOrder();
  // kNotVisible is -1, so a lifted row that left the order answers -1
  // without a second test.
  return _order.indexByNid[nid];
}
