requestTimeout property

Duration? requestTimeout
final

The longest the filters and the handler of a request may take to answer (server.request-timeout); null, the default, for no limit, and zero or a negative duration mean none too. When it passes before the answer starts, the request is answered with a 503 (an AsyncRequestTimeoutException) and what the handler returns later is dropped. The request runs under a RequestDeadline of this length, so the Feign calls it makes stop at it.

It does not apply to a response that became a stream (server-sent events, a streamed body: spring.mvc.async.request-timeout limits an SseEmitter) or to a WebSocket. A body the client uploads slowly is limited by connectionTimeout while it sends nothing, but the time the handler spends reading it counts here. The dispatcher reads this from the property, like server.context-path; a WebServerFactoryCustomizer cannot change it.

Spring Boot has no such key: Tomcat times out connections, not the handling of a request, and Spring MVC times out only asynchronous requests (spring.mvc.async.request-timeout). This is an extension of Spring for Dart.
