ZebraRfidReader class
RFID reader backed by a native Zebra SDK (RFD40/RFD90/MC33xx, …) through the generic platform-channel bridge.
Note there is nothing RFD40-specific in here — it only speaks the bridge contract in RfidKitChannels. Supporting another Zebra reader is a native change; this Dart class is reused as-is.

Constructors
- ZebraRfidReader(DeviceDescriptor descriptor, [ConnectionConfig? connection])
Properties
- connection → ConnectionConfig?
-
Optional transport hint (BT/USB to the sled). When null the native Zebra
SDK pairs with the first available reader.
final
- descriptor → DeviceDescriptor
-
Identity + capabilities of the connected reader.
final
- hashCode → int
-
The hash code for this object.
no setterinherited
- isConnected → bool
-
no setteroverride
- lastEpc → String?
-
Which of the hunted labels answered most recently, or null if none has.
no setteroverride
- lastRssi → int
-
RSSI in dBm of the most recent read during locate — 0 before anything is
read. Exposed here rather than as a second stream because a platform
EventChannel serves ONE listener: subscribing twice to tags silently
starves the first subscriber.
no setteroverride
- runtimeType → Type
-
A representation of the runtime type of the object.
no setterinherited
-
Tags seen during an active inventory session. Listen BEFORE starting, or
the first reads are dropped.

Methods
-
connect(
) → Future< void> -
override
-
disconnect(
) → Future< void> -
override
-
locate(
List< String> epcs, {Stream<bool> ? live}) → Stream<int> -
Geiger-counter proximity for ANY of
epcs: emits 0–100 (higher == nearer), or -1 while the radio is not reading. Cancelling the subscription (or calling stopLocate) ends the session.override -
noSuchMethod(
Invocation invocation) → dynamic -
Invoked when a nonexistent method or property is accessed.
inherited
-
setLocateRange(
bool near) → Future< void> -
Pull the radio's reach in to arm's length (
neartrue), or put it back to hunting reach.override -
startInventory(
{double? power}) → Future< void> -
Arm an inventory: read every tag in range. On a Zebra handheld the radio
only runs while the physical trigger is held.
poweris an optional 0–100 hint; implementations clamp/ignore it if the hardware doesn't support it.override -
stopInventory(
) → Future< void> -
override
-
stopLocate(
) → Future< void> -
override
-
toString(
) → String -
A string representation of this object.
inherited
Operators
-
operator ==(
Object other) → bool -
The equality operator.
