Trust publicKey as the root of this peer's universe before the genesis it will sign. Typed boot configuration, never a kernel variant. Node reboots its process with --trust-root-public-key (calling beforeReplacingConnection first, and answering true: the connection was replaced); native issues the kernel's one-time configure call on the live connection and answers false.
