toString method

String toString()
override

A string representation of this object.

Some classes have a default textual representation, often paired with a static parse function (like int.parse). These classes will provide the textual representation as their string representation.

Other classes have no meaningful textual representation that a program will care about. Such classes will typically override toString to provide useful information when inspecting the object, mainly for debugging or logging.

Implementation

String toString() {
  StringBuffer ret = new StringBuffer("DateTime(");

  ret.write("year:");
  ret.write(this.year);

  ret.write(", ");
  ret.write("month:");
  ret.write(this.month);

  ret.write(", ");
  ret.write("day:");
  ret.write(this.day);

  ret.write(", ");
  ret.write("hour:");
  ret.write(this.hour);

  ret.write(", ");
  ret.write("minute:");
  ret.write(this.minute);

  ret.write(", ");
  ret.write("sec:");
  ret.write(this.sec);

  ret.write(", ");
  ret.write("microsec:");
  ret.write(this.microsec);

  ret.write(")");

  return ret.toString();
}
