This plugin allows you to easily set wallpapers from local files or assets across different operating systems.

* Linux Support: Setting wallpapers is natively supported for the following desktop environments: GNOME (gsettings), KDE Plasma (qdbus), XFCE (xfconf-query), MATE/Cinnamon, as well as for Hyprland (via swww, hyprpaper, noctalia or swaybg) and generic X11 Window Managers (via feh).

(Note: ⏳ indicates that the feature is planned or currently under development.)

Getting Started

Android

Requires the SET_WALLPAPER permission in your app's AndroidManifest.xml:

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.SET_WALLPAPER" />

Usage

import 'package:manage_wallpaper/wallpaper.dart';

final wallpaper = Wallpaper();

// Set a wallpaper from a local file path
await wallpaper.setWallpaper('/path/to/your/image.jpg');

// Launch the live wallpaper chooser (Android only)
await wallpaper.setLiveWallpaper();
