parseInlines function

Parses the inline content of a single block.

With streaming set, the text is treated as the still-growing end of a document: unclosed emphasis and code spans are closed speculatively, and incomplete link syntax is hidden instead of being shown as literal punctuation, so the output does not flicker as more text arrives.
