HostCuts = ({List<Cut?> cuts, HostLayout layout, List<(double, double)> merged, List<Handle> openings})

Everything D7 and D8 decide for one host: its HostLayout, its openings (ascending), each one's cut (null: no fit, D8), and the merged cuts.
