HighlightContinuation class

An opaque, reusable parser checkpoint produced by Highlight.highlight.

A checkpoint belongs to one engine and one registered language definition. It retains open modes, callback data and named embedded-language states. Resuming does not mutate the checkpoint, so callers can reparse a changing tail from a stable prefix. Checkpoints are in-memory only, not serializable.

This is parser-state continuation, not an arbitrary streaming lexer: splitting a token, delimiter, escape, or a grammar's lookahead can change highlighting. Prefer complete-line boundaries and keep a reparsable tail. Even line boundaries cannot guarantee equivalence for grammars with multiline lookahead.
