status property

String? status
getter/setter pair

Status is the EFFECTIVE liveness — online | offline | draining — not the stored one. offline and draining are operator INTENT and are reported as they stand; online is checked against the heartbeat, and a machine that has beaten before but not in the last 90 seconds reports offline whatever its row says. A target that has NEVER beaten keeps its stored status, because a hand-registered destination has no fact to check.

Please note: This property should have been non-nullable! Since the specification file does not include a default value (using the "default:" property), however, the generated source code must fall back to having a nullable type. Consider adding a "default:" property in the specification file to hide this note.

Implementation

String? status;
