patch method

Updates an existing tag.

request - The metadata request object.

Request parameters:

name - The resource name of the tag in URL format. Example: * projects/{project_id}/locations/{location}/entrygroups/{entry_group_id}/entries/{entry_id}/tags/{tag_id} where tag_id is a system-generated identifier. Note that this Tag may not actually be stored in the location in this name. Value must have pattern ^projects/\[^/\]+/locations/\[^/\]+/entryGroups/\[^/\]+/tags/\[^/\]+$.

updateMask - Note: Currently, this parameter can only take "fields" as value. Names of fields whose values to overwrite on a tag. Currently, a tag has the only modifiable field with the name fields. In general, if this parameter is absent or empty, all modifiable fields are overwritten. If such fields are non-required and omitted in the request body, their values are emptied.

$fields - Selector specifying which fields to include in a partial response.

Completes with a GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1beta1Tag.

Completes with a commons.ApiRequestError if the API endpoint returned an error.

If the used http.Client completes with an error when making a REST call, this method will complete with the same error.

Implementation

async.Future<GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1beta1Tag> patch(
  GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1beta1Tag request,
  core.String name, {
  core.String? updateMask,
  core.String? $fields,
}) async {
  final _body = convert.json.encode(request.toJson());
  final _queryParams = <core.String, core.List<core.String>>{
    if (updateMask != null) 'updateMask': [updateMask],
    if ($fields != null) 'fields': [$fields],
  };

  final _url = 'v1beta1/' + core.Uri.encodeFull('$name');

  final _response = await _requester.request(
    _url,
    'PATCH',
    body: _body,
    queryParams: _queryParams,
  );
  return GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1beta1Tag.fromJson(
      _response as core.Map<core.String, core.dynamic>);
}
