patch method

Updates an entry group.

You must enable the Data Catalog API in the project identified by the entry_group.name parameter. For more information, see Data Catalog resource project.

request - The metadata request object.

Request parameters:

name - The resource name of the entry group in URL format. Note: The entry group itself and its child resources might not be stored in the location specified in its name. Value must have pattern ^projects/\[^/\]+/locations/\[^/\]+/entryGroups/\[^/\]+$.

updateMask - Names of fields whose values to overwrite on an entry group. If this parameter is absent or empty, all modifiable fields are overwritten. If such fields are non-required and omitted in the request body, their values are emptied.

$fields - Selector specifying which fields to include in a partial response.

Completes with a GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1EntryGroup.

Completes with a commons.ApiRequestError if the API endpoint returned an error.

If the used http.Client completes with an error when making a REST call, this method will complete with the same error.

Implementation

async.Future<GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1EntryGroup> patch(
  GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1EntryGroup request,
  core.String name, {
  core.String? updateMask,
  core.String? $fields,
}) async {
  final body_ = convert.json.encode(request);
  final queryParams_ = <core.String, core.List<core.String>>{
    if (updateMask != null) 'updateMask': [updateMask],
    if ($fields != null) 'fields': [$fields],
  };

  final url_ = 'v1/' + core.Uri.encodeFull('$name');

  final response_ = await _requester.request(
    url_,
    'PATCH',
    body: body_,
    queryParams: queryParams_,
  );
  return GoogleCloudDatacatalogV1EntryGroup.fromJson(
      response_ as core.Map<core.String, core.dynamic>);
}
