patch method

Future<Message> patch(
  1. Message request,
  2. String name, {
  3. String? updateMask,
  4. String? $fields,
})

Update the message.

The contents of the message in Message.data and data extracted from the contents such as Message.create_time cannot be altered. Only the Message.labels field is allowed to be updated. The labels in the request are merged with the existing set of labels. Existing labels with the same keys are updated.

request - The metadata request object.

Request parameters:

name - Output only. Resource name of the Message, of the form projects/{project_id}/locations/{location_id}/datasets/{dataset_id}/hl7V2Stores/{hl7_v2_store_id}/messages/{message_id}. Assigned by the server. Value must have pattern ^projects/\[^/\]+/locations/\[^/\]+/datasets/\[^/\]+/hl7V2Stores/\[^/\]+/messages/\[^/\]+$.

updateMask - Required. The update mask applies to the resource. For the FieldMask definition, see https://developers.google.com/protocol-buffers/docs/reference/google.protobuf#fieldmask

$fields - Selector specifying which fields to include in a partial response.

Completes with a Message.

Completes with a commons.ApiRequestError if the API endpoint returned an error.

If the used http.Client completes with an error when making a REST call, this method will complete with the same error.

Implementation

async.Future<Message> patch(
  Message request,
  core.String name, {
  core.String? updateMask,
  core.String? $fields,
}) async {
  final body_ = convert.json.encode(request);
  final queryParams_ = <core.String, core.List<core.String>>{
    if (updateMask != null) 'updateMask': [updateMask],
    if ($fields != null) 'fields': [$fields],
  };

  final url_ = 'v1/' + core.Uri.encodeFull('$name');

  final response_ = await _requester.request(
    url_,
    'PATCH',
    body: body_,
    queryParams: queryParams_,
  );
  return Message.fromJson(response_ as core.Map<core.String, core.dynamic>);
}
