styleReplacesInherited property

bool? styleReplacesInherited
final

Whether the widget's own style replaced inheritedStyle rather than merging into it. Null when this kind of widget cannot say.

Text.build merges the ambient style only when the widget's own is null or inherit: true, and Material's type-ramp entries are inherit: false — so style: theme.textTheme.titleLarge discards what was in scope rather than building on it. Without this a reader is shown a column of values that look like they contributed and did not.

Tri-state for the same reason selected is: an Icon builds its paragraph internally and publishes no style to ask, and guessing there would be exactly the confident wrong answer this field exists to prevent.
