The reader-side twin of the exit code: fw compare exits 1 exactly when this is non-null, so a job gating on the file gates on the same rule. ok answers a different question — whether anything got worse among what was compared — and an all-failed half makes both speak: ok goes false because failed rows are findings, and this names why none of them is a verdict about the branch.
