notify abstract method
Posts an OSC 9 desktop notification carrying message — best-effort and
terminal-specific: iTerm2 (among others) shows it; terminals that don't
implement OSC 9 ignore it. Note ConEmu / Windows Terminal treat part of
the OSC 9; family as a progress/control channel, so a message starting
with a digit-and-semicolon could be interpreted there rather than shown —
pass human-readable text, and pair with ringBell for a cue that always
lands.
