ConnectionValidator typedef

ConnectionValidator = bool Function(ConnectionCheck check)

Decides whether an output port may be wired to an input port.

It is asked only about a pair that is already one output and one input, both present, on two nodes unless self-connections are allowed. What it answers is final, so a rule that adds to the package's own checks ands them in — check.allowedByDefault && myRule(check) — and a validator that ignores ConnectionCheck.allowedByDefault replaces them.
