toString method
A string representation of this object.
Some classes have a default textual representation,
often paired with a static parse
function (like int.parse).
These classes will provide the textual representation as
their string representation.
Other classes have no meaningful textual representation
that a program will care about.
Such classes will typically override toString
to provide
useful information when inspecting the object,
mainly for debugging or logging.
Implementation
@override
String toString() {
final buffer = StringBuffer();
// Printing the matrix in the following format:
// [1, 2, 3]
// [4, 5, 6]
for (var i = 0; i < rowCount; ++i) {
// Leading opening [
buffer.write('[');
for (var j = 0; j < columnCount; ++j) {
buffer.write(this(i, j));
// Adding a comma only between two values
if (j < columnCount - 1) {
buffer.write(', ');
}
}
// Ending closing ]
if (i < rowCount - 1) {
buffer.writeln(']');
} else {
buffer.write(']');
}
}
return buffer.toString();
}
