Whether status from BiometricManager.canAuthenticate means yes.

Only success does. The status that has to answer false and looks like it should answer true is BIOMETRIC_ERROR_NONE_ENROLLED (11): the sensor is there, so anything asking whether there is hardware says yes, and then every prompt on that device fails because nobody has enrolled a finger.
