Commons Lang provides a host of helper utilities for Dart / Flutter applications.
Commons Lang #
Commons Lang provides a host of helper utilities for Dart / Flutter applications, most notably String manipulation methods and basic numerical methods.
Note that this project is still in its early stages and so may not yet provide complete/full functionality. We will be building up functionality over the next few months through numerous small iterative releases.

StrSubstitutor (String Interpolation) #
The StrSubstitutor provides extremely powerful and flexible interpolation for advanced use cases. It supports nested variables, recursive lookup and escaping variables.
Consider the following example:
Map map = {
"animal": "\${critter}",
"target": "\${pet}",
"pet": "\${petCharacteristic} dog",
"petCharacteristic": "lazy",
"critter": "\${critterSpeed} \${critterColor} \${critterType}",
"critterSpeed": "quick",
"critterColor": "brown",
"critterType": "fox",
};
StrSubstitutor sub = StrSubstitutor.fromMap(map);
print(sub.replace('The \${animal} jumps over the \${target}.'));
The output from the above will be
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Now consider this variable that is also escaped (the default escape character is $).
print(sub.replace('The \$\${\${animal}} jumps over the \${target}.'));
The output from the above will be
The \${quick brown fox} jumps over the lazy dog.
This demonstrates the true power and flexibility of the interpolation provided here. For full details see the User Guide.
